Privacy

  1. It is understood that the only confirmed information required for becoming a member of this site is a valid email address, which is not published directly on the site.

  2. All other information (personal profile, etc.) is unverified, available to other users of the site, provided by the user on a voluntary basis, and can be edited by the user at any time.

  3. YOUR INFORMATION WILL NOT BE TRADED OR SOLD TO A THIRD PARTY.

  4. YOUR INFORMATION WILL NOT BE USED TO CONTACT YOU EXCEPT IN REGARD TO YACHTPALS.

  5. To protect the safety and privacy of minors, we must insist that NO ONE UNDER LEGAL AGE IS TO USE THIS SITE.

Terms of Use

By visiting and using this site, you agree to the following:

  1. That YachtPals service is provided as-is, with no warranties expressed or implied. You use this site entirely at your own risk, and hold its owners and other users completely immune to any legal action or claims at any time.

  2. That there is no “right to use” this site, and that the owners or designees can invite, limit and ban users and IP addresses at any time for any reason.

  3. Advertising of any kind for any product or service is strictly forbidden without prior written consent of the site owners.

  4. Abusive or illegal behavior is not tolerated on this site.

  5. We allow one user membership per person. Multiple user accounts for the purpose of deceiving others are forbidden, and may result in ALL accounts for that user being terminated and the user being permanently banned.

Intellectual Property

We respect the intellectual property of others, and ask you to do the same. Please don't publish other's property without permission. In general:

  1. Portions of this site design and coding are licensed under GPL and/or other public license agreements, and portions are copyright, trademark and/or servicemark YachtPals (including but not limited to YachtPal, YachtPals, YachtPals.com, Yacht Pals, and the Yachtie character logo). 

  2. No YachtPals.com material or content, or portion of any YachtPals.com material or content, may be copied, reprinted, published, or used elsewhere in any form without express written permission from YachtPals.com, with the exception of the :teaser: output from YachtPals.com-generated RSS feeds, when unedited and properly linked to the full content on YachtPals.com.

  3. All trademarks and rights are the properties of their respective owners.

  4. By submitting information to this site, you agree that you have all legal rights to publish that information (text, photos, video, etc.), and that you are transferring all said rights to YachtPals as the legal, exclusive and permanent owner of all rights to all such submissions.

  5. YachtPals will immediately remove without notice materials found to be in violation of intellectual rights laws or ethics, and will report to authorities any illegal activities.

Security

We have taken reasonably strong measures to provide data security on this site, and to protect its users from SPAM and other Internet attacks. However, no public site can be completely secure, and we ask that you take the following precautions:

  1. Your email address is your only identity confirmation at YachtPals. It is unpublished to protect you from SPAM and Internet scams, so please do not write it out (president@whitehouse.gov) anywhere else on the site.

  2. We strongly advise you be very careful in providing any private information to other users. Know who you're talking to before giving out information a thief might find useful (like home address), and never give out identity information (Social Security number, credit cards, etc.).

  3. YachtPals will not contact you requesting personal information.

  4. If someone does contact you claiming to be from YachtPals and requesting private information, PLEASE NOTIFY US IMMEDIATELY.
